The Wellness Whisper Blog

Easy step-by-step journaling for a full moon.

This is a simple little journaling ritual you can do on or around the full moon every month. It inspires meaningful reflection on your progress of personal growth and allows you to provide structure and focus on continued personal growth.

1. Find a quiet place to sit and create a relaxing and comfy atmosphere. Light a candle, make your favorite brew, cold drink, tea, or coffee, bring your best blanket, or do whatever sets you up to feel relaxed and comfortable.

2. Start by giving thanks and show gratitude for having today. Being grateful for what you already have sets the foundation for and opens you up to achieve more.

3. Ask the universe and the full moon for guidance. Ask her to show you your opportunities for personal growth through this time of reflection. Use your own words, and if you create a prayer that feels especially powerful to you, remember to write it down so that you can use it again next month.

4. Set your intention. Reflect on what it is that you want to know more about, and why this is important to you, having yourself aligned with your core values and purpose makes for a deeper reflection and more meaningful answers.

5. When you’re ready, ask yourself these 9 questions about what is now reaching culmination from your personal work over the last 30 days.

Look back on the last 30 days (from the last full moon) and ask yourself:

What has been your focus of growth?

What were the big theme(s) you’ve been working on?

What lessons have you learned in the last 30 days?

What aspects of yourself have you uncovered or had a chance to explore?

How has this self-discovery contributed to a deeper understanding of who you are and who you want to become?

How have you embraced change, and what insights have you gained about your capacity to adapt?

In what ways have you found strength in being more flexible and adaptable?

How have you grown/expanded/evolved because of the work you have done?

What will be your theme and focus for the next 30 days?

Remember to also identify and reflect on smaller, yet impactful, experiences that may not be immediately obvious.
